If for there is a basis to use an alternative strategy to that suggested for specific applications then that should be raised as a deviation request with Aurobay/VCPC. It is generally recommended to mount those products close to the equipment being controlled. This is generally more economical and can be technically advantageous, note points below: - Shorter cable runs reduce risks caused by; e.g. high cable capacitance, high leakage currents, EMC etc. - Reduced Cabling costs. - Reduced use of space for cabling/cable trays etc. - Easier to identify which controller relates to which application. - Majority of I/O (sensors) are routed via drives I/O – cabling is significantly reduced and easier to access if the controllers are in closer proximity. - Enables more modular commissioning possibilities, when the equipment (eg. Conveyor) is installed as a self-contained unit (ie. with its I/O and controller linked/associated). - Further detailed information can be found in the specific product manuals. Hybrid pre-fabricated cables: It is generally preferred practice to utilize pre-fabricated cables for connecting specific SEW equipment as are de- tailed in this project book. It is generally found that this reduces problems during installation and reduces ongoing risk due to EMC and other potential installation related issues. Take care when selecting required lengths of ca- bles not to over order by too much, but if you do finish up with excess length then consider the following best prac- tices: - Where possible, double back excessive lengths in the cable duct, taking care not to overfill ducts or com- promise the general installation guidance of that or other cables e.g. mixing with low signal level cables, compromising cable bending radiuses. - Where it’s necessary to coil the cable, keep the coil loose and as large as possible and locate as practi- cally as possible (ie. not jammed between the inverter and its fixings, or next to other control equipment or heat sources etc). These have to be easily accessible to re-fill during production. The central lubrications tank have to be dimensioned so that re-fill will only be necessary once a week. Single pipe systems have to be equipped with indication pins for optical functional control of the consumption of lubrication. Pipe dimensions have to be according to the DIN 2391/c standard. In corrosive environments, e.g. inside washing machines, hardening machines, all material must be resistant against the process medium. Pipes must not be painted. All signs and plates must be attached with bolts or rivets and the label must be permanently engraved to be resistant to wear and tear. DIN 2391/c 4.1.9 Pneumatics The pneumatic system must be dimensioned to have full function at a system pressure of 5 bars. Process alarms and monitoring functions: All specified alarms and monitoring functions that are used to assure the produced quality must be present and work when tested. The checking of an executed operation has to be possible in direct connection to the performed operation without disturbing production. For example it has to be possible to check a core hole diameter before it is thread formed even if it is formed in the same operation. If one operation makes it impossible to check a previous operation they should be separated in a way that makes it possible to make sample checks of each operation otherwise built in checking devices should be included. 4.3.2.2 Test method Normal cycle: If no other agreement is made the same production run as for paragraph 4.3.1 is used for the test. The workpiece must not be released before the answer telegram is received. Time-out alarm is to be generated if the telegram not is received within a reasonable time. 2) Operation result telegram is sent in all machines to the host computer. 3) Control of previous operation: The host computer decides whether the workpiece is ok or not ok to run in actual machine. If the workpiece is not ok to run in the machine, an alarm is to be generated. 4) Workpiece blocked: If a workpiece is blocked in the host computer, it will be transported from the input place directly to a dedicated place. 5) For set-up and test runs the host computer communication must be possible to exclude. No telegrams are sent, and answer telegrams are not awaited. Alarms from the host computer are ignored when the communication is excluded. 6) There must be a manual function to send a test telegram to Host computer. The function is to verify a correct working communication. The result of the test shall be viewed in HMI. Emergency location To empty grippers in case of need there shall be an emergency location in the equipment and a function to order the grippers to this position. This function must be possible to execute even if the status of the gripper is missing. The function must be performed with reduced speed. The emergency location shall have a sensor for control of workpiece present. Selection and start of emergency location is done in HMI. The movement must stop if the button is released. Test-programs Test program shall be present for each axis with position feedback. The axis shall move from end-position to end-position continuously with highest automatic speed. Equipment shall be empty and in initial position, other necessary conditions must be fulfilled automatically when the selected test program is started. Selection and start of test program is done in HMI. Look and functionality must be like a manual movement. Function is interrupted when stop is pressed and then stops in initial position. Service positions NC-axis shall be provided with a function to order them to a service position e.g. oil control, inspections etc. Equipment shall be in initial position, other necessary conditions must be fulfilled automatically when the selected service position is started. The amount of service positions must be adapted to the equipment’s need of maintenance. One of the positions shall be fixed for the equipment’s reference position. For a robot there must be, in addition to above requirements, super initial position (forced run in low speed), synch position and SafeMove synch position. Screen saver The HMI shall be provided with a screen saver function. The time for activation shall be 5 minutes. The screen shall be activated once a key is pressed. Keys pressed when the screen is off may have no other effect than switching on the screen. Password Certain functions shall be protected with password. The use of password has to be agreed upon between Aurobay and supplier. Password must be reset when the screensaver is activated. Any deviations from this document shall require approval by Aurobay/VCPC General Requirements AutoCAD Version Files shall be saved in the latest released file format and only native AutoCAD objects shall be used. Language Requirement All text shall be written in English, including layer titles. No other language is accepted. Units, Scale and Coordinate System, Only layout files handed over by Aurobay/VCPC engineers may be used. This will ensure that the layout drawings are designed in mm and use of the respective sites coordinate system. Scaling is not allowed, scale 1:1 must be used. 2D Factory Layouts The coordinate system in the Layout Drawings is the same as in the *Plant Alignment and the 3D Plant Scan Data. This means that the same specific coordinate can be located in all these three environments, with high accuracy. It enables easy use of 3D Scan Data in combination with the layouts, just insert the scan data to 0,0. It also makes set out work of equipment installations on shopfloor easy and highly accurate by use of the *Plant Alignment Reference System. *Plant Alignment: A method and a physical reference system implemented in the shops. Coordinates of surveyed referencesSurveyed reference----media/image1.png---- 1) Reference System coordinates are loaded into the Total Station instrument. 2) The Total Station triangulates to some prisms attached to the references to find its position in the Reference System. 3) The Total Station is now ready to point out any wanted WCS coordinate from the layout drawing so the equipment can be positioned on shopfloor accordingly. Some layouts are in a 15-degree angle. Use the predefined UCS to rotate to perpendicular. All objects Z coordinate values must be Z=0 (zero). Electrical installations shall be designed in such a way that the positioning of power sockets, the encapsulation of materials and suchlike permit good work environment conditions and are easily accessible for work, service and maintenance. Electrical installations at risk of collision shall be suitably protected. Areas where a risk assessment has determined the presence of high-frequency electromagnetic fields shall be signposted/labelled. Water and waste water installations Hand-washing facilities shall be near at hand at workplaces where the work activity requires it. The hot water system for showers shall be designed to prevent the growth and spreading of Legionella bacteria. Tapping points with non-potable water shall be clearly marked so that they are not mistaken for tapping points with drinking water. Floor pits and large gutters in pedestrian traffic areas shall be covered with non-slip floor gratings which are easy to lift. Pipelines shall be marked according to applicable standards. Furnishing and equipment The choice of furnishings and equipment, as well as their location, shall be based on the different work requirements and conditions, taking into account the risks of ill health, accidents and ergonomic factors. The following items shall be considered when planning the workplace: • Simple lifting tool for material handling/tool equipment/material boxes/“small boxes” • Location of tool parking/storage for easy and ergonomic access • Spaces for materials/tools/equipment shall be clearly marked, for example with painted lines, mark-outs, etc. • Correctly located and dimensioned containers for collection of waste material (waste separation) • Hoses/lines shall be removed from the floor; hoses and lines that are lightweight, soft, and with a suitable suspension system shall be chosen. Floors, walls, and ceilings Floors shall be firm and stable and shall have a resilience that is appropriate for the activity at hand. When work is carried out in a standing position, mats/wooden flooring shall be used in order to improve comfort and prevent problems for feet and legs. Floor hardness and colour shall be chosen with due consideration to ease of cleaning/maintenance. Floors may not have dangerous or unsuitable bumps, holes or slopes. The room’s colour scheme shall be taken into consideration to increase comfort in the workplace. Windows, doors, and gates A separate door for pedestrians shall be available near gates/roller doors intended for vehicle traffic. The component selection shall comply with the following minimum design criteria: -- The equipment shall be designed to comply with the lifetime and working requirements specified in the contract, ensuring an optimal life-cycle cost. -- The equipment shall be designed to endure the environment in which it is operated and the intended process. See the detailed description in the contract appendices. -- A maintenance program shall be submitted in order to comply with the reliability criteria specified in the contract. -- For reasons of maintainability, the design must also ensure that components will be available on the market during a minimum period of 10 years, starting from job1. The requirements are specified in the KPI matrix in Contract Appendix B. Verification is carried out in different steps according to the contractual test procedures described in Contract Appendix F.
